Happy Monday! Well, at least for me, I just figured out the Monday is easy to meet when you have two hours before work to brace yourself. And by brace myself, I mean drink an entire pot of Carmel Truffle coffee and write a post.
Admittedly, Mondays can be hard. So much to do to get out the door, and if you've overdone the weekend then it's that much harder. I have to get up by 7 to get my son to preschool by 9 which on some level seems sad because preschool is just at the end of our street. If I can manage to wake before him and get things done it's a breeze. This morning, he was up right behind me which completely changes the flow and tone of things.
After dropping him off, I have about 2 1/2 hours until I have to be at work. Today, I came home ate leftover Mexican and loaded the dishwasher. While loading the dishwasher, the Klondike thing came to mind.
On one hand, the Klondike bar seems like a deal with the devil. Or maybe it's a genie in the bottle. I don't know. I just had a lot of things on my mental to-do list and I am really wondering if a Klondike bar would help me knock them out.
Like if Klondike bars had some sort of magical time-bending abilities I would totally down a whole package! I literally would run to the nearest store (to balance the calories-duh) and woof down a couple of packages if it meant at the end of the day everything would be done, finished, solved, mended, returned, etcetra.
Alas, it's only chocolate covered ice cream and would really only succeed in kicking me up a dress size. But if it were somehow both magical and delicious, what would you do for a Klondike bar?
If you haven't any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble. ~Bob Hope

Greetings from Monday...at least I think it's Monday!

I am seriously not complaining, a lot of details fall out of focus in times like this. Been offline more than on, and debating whether that is a sign I need a smartphone or if it's a sign of something else.
Despite all the seeming chaos, life has been quite peaceful lately. My husband's schedule has been regulating and he doesn't need to travel far, far away for sometime. School is winding down, so there's less to do there. Driving school is almost done too, just have to get her on roads and her test and that's done. Got a bit of a regular schedule going with the boy, too.
Despite my lack of post I have managed to cross something off my 2012 to do list...giveaways. I am currently running one and participating in two. May Daze Grab Bag is just something that I whipped up and it ends 5/31/12 and is open to US only. Chic Algene's Birthday Bash is open worldwide and ends 5/30/12. And finally, the Father's Day Mancave Giveaway is also open worldwide and ends 6/8/12. It's more work than I realized to organize and execute these giveaways but I am thankful for the opportunity that has presented itself to be a part of them.
I think that my looking at life like a centrifuge lately has helped me keep my sanity. Instead of getting upset at all I haven't gotten to, I've been looking at it more like all this shake up is separating out what I need to be concentrating on from what I've been wasting time on. Like, I am still active with Do You Bake and Clever Container but am seriously evaluating my place with both companies. Don't get me wrong, I love the products but do they fit long term with my life? I don't know the answer to that yet. I did change the name of my old Clever blog, and I have a grand plan for that but it seems to be one of those things that has filtered out at the moment.
Anyway, enter some giveaways and have a great week! I know I plan to :)

Sick of all these manic Mondays
I said a few weeks ago that I wasn't going to let Monday get to me, and it hasn't...yet. I am just sitting here wondering why it is 1:27pm and despite all I have accomplished since I woke up why didn't my house magically clean itself.
All kidding aside, I would rather have a lot of motion than no motion at all. I just sometimes get really anxious for no good reason at all. Chalk it up to all the energy coursing through me I guess. I had a bit of that this morning. Well, there were reasons, and once I stopped trying to ignore them it all dissipated. I still have it now but it's more productive as it's rooted in my wanting to get the house back together by 5.
Change isn't painful, it's the resistance that hurts. I don't know where that is exactly from but it has come up in conversation quite a few times over the past month in this house. So where you started reading thinking Bangles, I'm going to leave you with Queens of the Stone Age...Go With The Flow. I like this song. It is in and out of my head a lot lately. Do I need another reason?
